Easy Gift for the Holidays – Candle Smarties

I’m always looking for nice, easy, inexpensive gifts for my kids teachers and therapists. My son has alot of great helpers in his school and I always try and give them all at least a little something. The budget kinda gets in the way when you have a teacher, 2 bus drivers, a speech therapist, a social worker, a hearing itinerant..and well you get the point. A while back I made these for a trade show I was at and thought these would be really cute if I ‘Christmas’ them up. So while out shopping on Black Friday I got some party bags that had snowflakes on them and some Christmas ribbon at Michaels.

I started by cutting off the end of the party bag, so you have two open ends now.

Then I cut the bag in two halves. Normally this would be enough to make two Smarties but I didn’t realize the bags were solid on the back 🙁  So I just used the clear side.

Grab 5 tealights and stack them. Then roll up them up in the party bag and secure it with a piece of clear tape.

Twist the two ends and tie them with ribbon.

I attached two little tags. One with a Holiday Greeting and then the other with the scents that were in the package.

Now you have a little something to give out. I plan on making quite a few and give them to checkers at the stores or just random people to give them an extra smile.

I’m off now to get some more “Christmasy” color tea lights.
